How to upgrade to windows 10 from Windows 7 for Free

Very recently, last December 2019, Microsoft discontinued / stopped all kind of supports for the most popular operating system, Windows 7. Right now, worldwide users of windows 7 will not receive any security update from Microsoft and, hence all the current users are at risk of getting hacked. Although Microsoft gave enough time to the windows 7 users to upgrade to windows 10 before the windows 7 supports gets discontinued.

Since, all the supports are OFF now, only the genuine windows 7 users can upgrade to windows 10 for free. Following steps would help you to get free windows 10 up gradation. If you don’t feel like doing it by reading it, let me know in the comments. I will show you the steps on a video.

How to upgrade to windows 10 from Windows 7 for Free

1. Go to the upgrading tool download page on Microsoft's site.
     https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10


2. Click on the 'Download tool now' button and the 'MediaCreationTool' will be downloaded to your computer.

3. Once you run the tool, it will check online whether you are eligible for the upgrade or not. If yes, then just follow the instructions and complete the upgrade process.


4. Overall process might take a while depending on your internet speed.


5. During the whole process, or after the process, your computer may ask to restart. In such cases just follow the instructions on screen or let me know in the comments for any assistance.
