After downloading an .iso or .dmg file, to burn it to CD or DVD on your Mac, there is no need any extra software.The delighted useful Disk Utility built into OS X can burn disk images in a few easy steps. Read on for how to go about burning your new disc.
Launch Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities).
1. Insert a blank DVD or CD.
2. Drag and drop .dmg or .iso file to the left pane in Disk Utility. Now both the blank disk and the .iso/.dmg should be listed.
3. Select the .iso/.dmg file have to burn to disc, and click on the Burn button. A dialog box confirming the destination (blank CD/DVD) will appear.
Now wait while the disc gets written!
