How to remove blogger footer - Powered By: Blogger

Every default blogger template has a footer "Attribution - 1" which show "Powered by: Blogger.com". Blogger has used "macro" to lock this section. There are many posts how to remove this section from the template but all of them shows the same way. Just to make the locked section "False" while in "Edit HTML" mode. But since blogger using macro, after removing the footer menu, when the page is reloaded, the footer menu comes back to its own place. I am showing you the way to permanently remove it.

I am explaining the step by step process using images. Please refer to the numbers marked on the images.
  • Log into your blogger.com account and click on 1 and then 2.
  • Click on 3 & then 4.
  • 5 - Replace 'True' with 'False'.
  • Click on the button marked as 6 and then 6a.
  • After clicking 6a, a new window or tab will open which is your blog's homepage. Go at the bottom of the page where the footer menu is. Click on 7. In case, if no tool button shows up then you have to keep layout section open in another tab. From there you have to remove the attribution section.
  • A new window will popup and there click on 8.
  • Now go back to the "HTML Editor" tab and DELETE the section marked as 9. You can find it just where you replaced 'true' with 'false'.
  • Now click 10 and you are done.
